If there is a fashion brand that spells "Kagay-anon pride", it's MAGS. Owned by fashion icon and businesswoman, Mags Cue, MAGS have become a household name in fashion.

MAGS is her unintentional brainchild. Ms. Mags Cue never really had plans to open a boutique, much less her own clothing line. After marrying her husband, Oliver Cue, all she ever dreamed of being to fulfill her duties as a wife and as a mother to her three lovely boys.

Life as a housewife meant being left at home most of her day, waiting for her husband to come home from work. Out of boredom, Mags Cue decided to open a boutique.

The world of business wasn’t new to Mags Cue. As a child, her family owned a dress shop that exported baby dresses and a tailoring shop where everything was made, from school uniforms to basketball jerseys.

In 2003, Mags Cue opened her very first boutique at De Leon Plaza at Yacapin - Velez Sts. It was a simple, 40 square foot shop that had almost anything one could imagine. From toys to Christmas decors, garden gnomes and paintings. But if there was one thing that kept customers coming for more, it was the clothes.

The demand for fashion apparel and accessories increased over time, and Mags Cue saw this as a divine sign.

In 2004, a women’s clothing line MAGS was born in Limketkai Mall in Cagayan De Oro City.

The response was overwhelming which led to the birth of other branches. Its first branch outside CDO is at SM City Davao. Presently, Mags Boutique has 22 branches nationwide. The latest one opened last December at the newly opened Robinsons Place Butuan.

Debuting MAGS' celebrity endorsement is Rica Peralejo. She was also the longest standing celebrity endorser of the brand. Following her is Cristine Reyes. And the latest one is Miss Angel Aquino that has been modelled Mags since August 2010.

Mags Cue's meticulous taste in fashion brought her one of the most prestigious awards any Fashionista dreams: being awarded as one of the Best Dressed Women of the Philippines in 2013. Of all her awards and recognition, Mags Cue's answer was an absolute... her family.
